THIRTEEN!!!

Oh how we do love our ODD years. For those of you who are exploring the school, trying to decide whether or not to go to this lovely school of ours, you should know about the sisterhood we have here. (Yes, even the men should know about it).

We live in Moore on 3rd at the moment. It has become our home and the girls here are our close family. We take care of each other and love on each other. I know it's the same wherever you live because I've heard stories from others. I don't know if you can say that about any other school. We have crafted for each other and we give each other random things to make the day better. I just gave Christmas cards to a bunch of people. I woke up this morning with a bag of candy outside my door. And yesterday I found a pencil that said good luck on your exams. Just the little things make living away from family more like home. We love it here and we hope you do too.

Now for the blogging. It is more of a mundane post-it note blog, but it is still important. (Sorry we haven't blogged in such a long time.) So as I said we woke up this morning to a bag of candy for each of us outside our door from Suzie*. This made up extremely happy. So we decided to reply back with post-its.

(This picture was on our floor, not by our door)
So we went downstairs to leave her a note of gratitude.

We hope you can understand how loving a community we are here at R(MW)C.

ad-ven-cha num-bah 12

So...M^2 was sitting not wanting to do homework when all of a sudden a BRILLIANT plan popped into one of the M's heads. "WE SHOULD GO ON AN ADVENTURE!!!"

Prepared with post its, a camera, and energy we went to Main Hall, and bombard Chelsea*'s wall with STICKY NOTES!!! One letter at a time, we crafted a note, because she left us to go shopping, when we wanted to carve pumpkins. tisk, tisk, tisk. We then came back to our room to find out lo and behold she would be back in time to carve them with us!!! So we went back and added to our previous message.

While there, we decided to hit other people's doors with messages such as "You are a BAMF" and "You are super cool" and "We <3 you" signed with our signiture. We hit Rose's door* Photobucket

Fifi's* door
Photobucket

and Gloria's* and Paula's* door

Then...we decided to go down the curlies, and found what we had been looking for, Main annex! It's nice to know where it is, I hear they have great parties. ;-)

Pictures to come!
See ya at 13!

Adventure Number 11!

This is a super long adventure, please brace yourself. You might want to grab some snacks, I'm not sure. But feel free to stop and grab food while reading.

So...we began with going to take pictures of our fat fire hydrant. It's a very interesting part of campus, that you just ponder for a while.
Photobucket

Then we went to the sun dial. We do plenty of things by the sundial. We sing songs of syncopation all about the school that we adore (WE ADORE!. I've heard we have a shout out during exams. Which will be very exciting. But it is gorgeous nonetheless
Photobucket

While walking up to Moore we decided to take a picture of our lovely work on the post and the tree. Photobucket

We then kept walking a saw another one of our great traditions. To dress up the statue of the man that started it all at R(MW)C. This was a very nice piece of lingerie...Photobucket

Here is another one of our favorite things. Legend has it, if you step foot in this before you become engaged, you won't get engaged.
Photobucket

So many traditions...
So this is something all the seniors get to do. Every event that the seniors get to be featured in, convocation, pumpkin parade etc, they get to wear their robes. With buttons, and funny hats. Photobucket During the year they hang them on the door.

So we went inside the best dorm ever, Moore of course, and decided to tell you why it is the best. It does not smell when you walk in. We have a kitchen on 5th, lounges, a laundry room of our own. Treadmills on the ground floor Photobucket , and fun old vintage vending machines. Photobucket

So from Moore we went down main hall to bring you the haunted curlies, Photobucket , to inform you of our population, we have a crazy amount of international kids, so for them we put their flag on display in Main Photobucket then we stopped by Main porch to take a picture of our cute Randolph College Shopping Shuttles, Photobucket , While walking to show you our DJ booth, we are going to show you are really interesting water fountain, it happens to be one of our favorites. Photobucket . Now for our DJ booth, we have a really awesome place for self expression.Photobucket wwrm.org (They also plastered our sidewalks with their awesome logo: Photobucket )
So then we went around back and passed out beautiful backyard Photobucket
and then this is the Dell Photobucket generally known for dell runs, and the greek play.

Randomly around campus is plenty of spirit. GO WILDCATS! Photobucket Either yellow or black, they go to all of our athletic areas. and just remind us of who we are.

So later that night on our super long adventure, we ran into our favorite kitty. Pip. Photobucket He lives around campus, he generally is found around Moore. He loves to be petted and is super cute. We love him.

And that's pretty much the end of our super long adventure, sorry it's not our normal adventure, but hey it's all we got.

Next Time

adventure10inarush

So...it all begins tonight with Get Downtown! Lynchburg just held their first annual get downtown festival with tons of fun stuff for all college kids. So we went from 7:30-9, ended up missing the bus and came back at 9:30. We were worried about our friend Robert* staying down there all by his lonesome. Turns out he gets lost.

So we have no idea he is lost, when we decide to attack his door with sticky notes. Once all the way across campus, we realized we had forgotten the sticky notes, complete blasphemy in our books. But anyway, so we asked his roommate, Jim* for a sheet of paper and we left him a ransom note for his pillow and ran, without taking a picture. Kudos to A^2 for the ransom note idea.

Once back we tied up his pillow and took pictures (to come).
Photobucket
We checked our phones and found out that he was lost, and when he got back to campus he came here immediately and we sent him to his room.

He has yet to come back to retrieve his pillow, but when he does, he will have to do a funny dance, and learn how to text.

il numero di avventura nove

Firstly, if you are going by the alias Robert*, please stop reading this right now and go check your mailbox. No really. Stop, right now. We know you're still reading.

Sooooo...Adventure number nine begins with a cleaning of our dorm room. It's is now too clean for our liking. While cleaning, we saw the stars we used to decorate our mailboxes and had the oh so brilliant idea to massacre Roberts* mailbox.
Photobucket
So off we went. Having our favorite weapons at hand (hot pink post-its, foam star stickers, scotch tape (we failed to use) and a pen) we went down the crazy amount of stairs to manage mischief.

Before we could do said mischief, we had to check stalker web to find out his box number, 013* (Go Odds!!!) Once finding said information, we took out on our trek to the mailroom.

(Mission Impossible Theme) Once there, we encountered Maria* and Natalie* decorating their mail boxes. They asked, "Whatcha doin?" M^2 replied, "Massacring a boys mailbox" they then said "awesome."

The beautiful part of this adventure, is that (as long as he doesn't read this) he will find out soon enough what has happened.

This ends adventure number 9, dedicated to Roberts* italian background.

La aventura numero ocho

So hey there!!!

Remember Cloe* and her retaliation?! (Lame is more like it) We gave her 24 hours to give us a chance to think on how to get her back or for her to surrender. Since she did not, it was time. "What could we do?" M^2 pondered. We decided to get back at her by knocking it down a notch. Since she didn't boost it up we knocked it down and added some pazass (sp?)!

So what did we do you ask? We went back to the idea of her original task....post-its. We took the cardboard paper that had been on our dorm room floor for the past 3 days(we're a little messy) and used the back of it to make a checkered pattern using pink and blue (for the odds of course). After laying out the lovely post-its, all nice in the perfect pattern of course, M drew an colored the even post, while M was cutting out the most gorgeous most fantastic tree ever in the whole entire universe. M^2 added great decorations, such as odd numbers as odd phrases from the odd songs. (good stuff)

After finishing the poster we called and got Carly*. She was the one holding on the poster this time, the plan was now in effect. While whispering the odd songs we quickly and quietly walked to main while trying to get to Cloe*'s room without her hearing us. Suzie* passed over the poster to M^2 who then placed it securely on the door. We then took pictures, and scurried away.

Apparently Cloe* decided to turn our poster green, by covering our stickies with hers.

We are now awaiting retaliation or a surrender.

Pics to come.

Adventure 7 (I believe)

So a war has begun.

If you don't know of Randolph College (AKA Randolph Macon Women's College) then you will have no idea when we say anything about the Even/Odd Rivalry. http://www.randolphcollege.edu/x13716.xml that site basically explains it. What they leave off in telling you is that there is an "even post" and an "odd tree" in which the opposing class paints and sings rather loudly once they do for however long they want. Everyone is spirited with which class they are in, traditions are a large part of campus.
On with the story...

So one day while A^2* was rub a dub dubbing, Cloe* decided to tag all first year's doors in Moore with things that have to do with even spirit, borrowing sticky notes from Ashley* she wrote "a proud even lives here" "and go bones and buttons (their mascots) In green stickies on every door. (green khaki and white are even colors).

Upon returning to see our door defaced with evenness, we decided who ever did this needed a lesson in lovely odd items. We thought that it was A^2* but found out from Ashley* that it was Cloe*. We them decided that the best plan of action was to make an even post with odd colors(red blue and silver). (pics to come later)and post it to her door.
After making it, and one for our door, with a pristine odd tree, we went to the black light party, and danced for a few hours. We left in the middle and came back to our dorm with Robert* AKA 005, to retrieve our beautiful post. All of us then mission impossibled it across campus to attack her door, which we did. Then we went and sat in the main lobby when...
We heard odds who had just painted the post singing amazing odd songs! So we ran from where we were and began singing "glorry glory to the odd tree, glory glory to the odd tree, glory glory to the odd tree, and to hell with the even po-oh-ost" followed by "let's go down and spit on the even post, spit on the even post, spit on the even post", and etc. then the fight song, and school song. (best night ever).
So we expected retaliation from Cloe* the next day.
After being rudely pulled out of bed by a crowd of around 40 singing stupid even songs, we realized that our sacred tree had been painted horrible colors. On arising this morning I found our white board had been changed from "glory glory to the odd tree", it now read "down down to the odd tree" and instead of their being devil O's, there were button O's and no broom stick exclamation points. Instead of waking my roommate at 8:30, I immediately changed it, so no pics here. But now our board says "To hell with the even po-oh-ost"
We now get our chance for revenge. We will update you with the outcome in our next adventure.
