Amazing Adventure Numero Uno

It all began with a black desk lamp from Target(great store). While moving in to our fabu dorm room at Randolph College, I discovered that I needed my lamp to be on and asked the other M, what to tape an extension cord down with, pink or yellow duct tape. She said, "You could use this masking tape." As we proceeded to tape down the wire across the vast dorm room floor, the conversation went something like this.
M: "What if this is a fire hazard?"
M: "Oh snapz maybe it is. We could always ask our awesome HD Jamie* if it is one"
We then ventured down numerous flights of stairs (6 or so) barefoot, only to find out that
"OH NO!!! SHE'S WASN'T THERE"  She was at food (?)(we are uncertain at this time).
We then imediately decided to leave her a post it note. Which said "Jamie*, We plugged an extension cord into the wall and put it across the floor and taped it down, we were wondering if this was a fire hazzard, M^2"
We came back the next day to find a very long note on our door that did not actually apply to us.
So....
After an extremely busy day, and in loopy states of mind, we decided to write ANOTHER POST IT NOTE. (Bum Bum Bum).
This one said "Jamie*, We think you misunderstood us, we just plugged an extension cord in and taped it down" We also left a diagram, see photos for more details. We however forgot to leave a time to check it out when we would be in our room.
She then e-mailed us we were safe. But it nevertheless was an adventure.
